Tarzan the Apeman was going to open in Holland. To promote this event a swimming contest was held in Amsterdam.
Han Hollander, a famous Dutch radio reporter was there following the swimmers.

Beside this radio report, also a polygoon movie was made.

Results of the swimming contest (2 km).

1. miss Ida Breukel O.D.Z. Rotterdam 15 minutes 59 sec.
2. miss de Groot H.D.Z. Amsterdam 16 minutes 21 sec.
3. miss Husken A.D.Z. 17 minutes 15 sec

Men :
1. Mr Kemper Z.C.G. Groningen 14 minutes 14 .6 sec
2. Mr Wegenaar A.Z. Amsterdam 15 minutes 46.6 sec
3. Mr Zeegers A.Z. Amsterdam 15 minutes 51.6 sec
4. Mr G. Hensbergen Haarlem 15 minutes 52 sec
