Holland meets ERB : Collectibles : Computer Games

In de jaren 80 bevond zich in bijna elk cafe of cafetaria bevond zich een Speelkast. Hierin moest men geld werpen om een spel te kunnen spelen. De jaren 80 was ook de periode dat de Commodore -64, Atari, ZX Spectrum hoogtij vierden. Deze spelletjes werden toen op cassettebandjes, 5¼ diskettes en rom/cartridges op de markt werden gebracht. De qualiteit van de spelletjes was niets vergeleken met de huidige games maar in die periode was het een revolutionaire ontwikkeling dat men thuis de spelletjes kon spelen. Commodore 64 had 64 Kb (!) intern geheugen, een video chip en een sound chip. Hiermee liep het voor op de concurent.
