Disney maakt premiere data Frankenweenie and John Carter of Mars bekend.

De Studio doelt op een premiere datum van 9 maart 2012 voor de door Tim Burton geproduceerde
Frankenweenie welke geschreven is door John August. De film is gebaseerd op Burton´s korte film
over een hond welke terug tot leven is gebracht door zijn trouwe baas. Was het origineel
"Frankenweenie" een live-action project, dit nieuwe project zal gebruik maken van stop-motion
animatie en ze zal in 3D uitgebracht worden.
Op 8 juni 2012 zal de studio de door Andrew Stanton geregiseerde John Carter van Mars met in de
hoofdrollen Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong,
Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston,
Thomas Hayden Church and Willem Dafoe.
Gebaseerd op het begin van Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Barsoom serie" zal de film chronologisch
de reis van de Burger oorlogsveteraan John Carter (Kitsch), die zichzelf strijdend terugvind
in een nieuwe en mysterieuze strijd tegen vreemde inwoners van Mars inclusief Tars Tarkas
(Dafoe) en Dejah Thoris (Collins).

Disney Sets Frankenweenie and John Carter of Mars Release Dates

Walt Disney Pictures has announced release dates for two of its anticipated movies for 2012.
The studio is targeting a March 9, 2012 release for the Tim Burton-produced Frankenweenie,
written by John August. The film is based on Burton's 1984 short about a pet dog brought
back to life by his loyal owner. While the original "Frankenweenie" was a live-action project,
the new one will be made using stop-motion animation and be in 3D.
On June 8, 2012, the studio will release the Andrew Stanton-directed
John Carter of Mars, starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong,
Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston,
Thomas Hayden Church and Willem Dafoe.
Based on the first of Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Barsoom Series," the film chronicles the journey
of
Civil-War veteran John Carter (Kitsch), who finds himself battling a new and mysterious
war amidst a host of strange Martian inhabitants, including Tars Tarkas (Dafoe) and
Dejah Thoris (Collins)."
