Holland meets Edgar Rice Burroughs (ERB) is a website designed to display all material based on the work of ERB which has been produced for the Dutch market or material produced by Dutch companies for the foreign market.
Edgar Rice Burroughs became famous for his creation of Tarzan, but there was more, much more than Tarzan...

Tarzan

John and Alice Clayton arrive in Africa after a exciting jeorney where John builds a cabin. After Alice gave birth to John Clayton Jr she dies. When John got killed by Kerchak, Kala is taken by Kala who moarns after the death of her own child which she dropped out of a tree. They call the child Tarzan (white skin).

This is the world of John Carter. The first works of Edgar Rice Burroughs originates from 1911 (a Princess of Mars). This story was published in the All-Story under the name Norman Bean.
