| As to your question about "Hawk of the Wilderness", I believe remember Dad saying that one of the trademarks of the film was the bear paw that Kioga had on the end of a rope that Kioga would throw up over something like a wall and the bear paw would catch allowing Kioga to climb the wall. Evidently fans tried to imitate this action and could not get it to work. Dad admitted that it was one of the earliest uses - to his recollection- of reversing film for a stunt. Actually, the bear paw and rope were attached to something. Then Kioga (Dad) would flip the rope and it would come undone and fall to him. By reversing the film, it looked as if Kioga was successful in his throwing skills. |
