Tarzan will be the new open end production of Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties in the Fortis Circustheater in Scheveningen.
This was announced by Phil Collins maandag may 22nd 2006 during the Musical Award Gala. Vanwege de langdurige goede relatie tussen Stage Entertainment en Disney Theatrical Productions, heeft Stage Entertainment de rechten gekregen om de nieuwste Disney musical als eerste naar het Europese vasteland te brengen.
On november 24th 2006 an audition was held which was aired on tv as a live show. In this show a jury and the audience (also at home) were choosing the new Dutch Tarzan out of 5 candidates (LINK).
On January 09th 2007 the rehearsals were started officialy. To promote the musical a store window was changed into a scene of the musical Tarzan which was openen on January 19th 2007 by Ron Link and Chantal Janzen(LINK).
